The owners called us because they wanted to transform their home. The flat was crying out for a contemporary facelift and we were happy to oblige. We began by removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, creating a spacious area for entertaining. Following up with a new kitchen made the room more functional and aesthetically pleasing. Moving to the bathroom, we extended the floorspace and replaced all the fixtures. The design included cleverly hidden doors and plenty of unique touches. Our clients also wanted to replace the living room with a cozy theatre. Their new cinema room is now the perfect place for relaxing in the evening with a good film. In addition to wallpapering the cinema room, we completely redecorated the home. A tired flat in Kensington is now a stylish and functional residence.
The original design of this maisonette wasn’t working out for its owners, so we stepped in to help. This was an older home and we began by updating and replacing all the aging plumbing and electricals. By relocating the kitchen, we were able to construct a new bathroom and added underfloor heating to both. Our clients were finally able to have the walk-in shower they’d always wanted. The front bedroom was large enough to accommodate a new ensuite bathroom. When we finished with that task we added a mini-kitchen, creating a fully self-contained suite. The master bedroom got a built-in wardrobe with hidden doors and the whole home received new wooden floors. After completing the decorating, the maisonette was transformed into exactly what the owners were looking for.
This home was starting to show its age and needed significant work. Removing the old lath plaster from the walls and ceilings was a good start. We then mounted new plasterboard and the change was nothing short of dramatic. All of the plumbing and electricals needed replacing, and while we were at it, we sanded and finished all the floors. We then created and opening between the kitchen and dining room, making the space significantly brighter. The cupboard under the stairs was turned into a small bathroom with a WC and sink. Finally, we built cupboards into an alcove to give our clients a little extra storage room. The results were amazing, and our clients are delighted with a refurbishment that brought a modern touch to a stately home.
